Here are highlights of the award
weekend and lectures - first the Smithsonian Panel on the Japanese
Influence on American Craft - with panel members Halsey North, Don
Friedlich, Jack Lenor Larson and Judy Schwartz .
Then
the Auction and Dinner at the newly renovated and famous Willard Hotel
and the Awards Brunch at the St Regis where I received a beautiful
plaque after my lecture. The Cherry blossoms
opened up everywhere, cousin Deborah Boldt came in from Santa Fe and
long time friends Joan Danziger, and Ronnie Cohen where in attendance
too.
Marty was as supportive as he always is.
